35. Sarah's Story - How I found worthiness using these 5 free tools

Updated: Feb 3, 2022

On this episode, I get into my own personal growth journey, where it started, where I’m at now, and the bumps along the way. I also share five FREE tools on your phone that can really help you along the way.

My journey of “the work” started in 2019. I was working a job that I was very unhappy in. At the same time, I was starting my own business. I was losing my mind doing both things at the same time. I was barely able to set boundaries. I blamed everyone for all of this anger and resentment that I had inside me. I was working all the time and I ran myself ragged. On top of that, I was using alcohol to cope with my feelings and smoking at least one Juul pod a day.

My anger and resentment were building up and came to a boil right around Christmas time. I had very little money in the bank. I was so stressed. One night I completely took it out on my husband. I got down on my hands and knees and just started screaming at the floor which felt really good at the time, but I knew there had to be a better way.

I decided to take radical action. I joined a manifestation program, To Be Magnetic. I joined an amazing group of people that were doing the same program. I started learning about my attachment style and joined the Personal Development School. Every single night around six o'clock after work, I would take my journal and my computer into my bedroom and I would journal for about an hour, do a meditation, and then I would take an Epsom salt bath.

Ten months after doing this, I came to this amazing realization that I am accepted. I am whole. I am worthy. I needed those ten months of taking care of myself, creating trust with myself by taking that Epsom salt bath almost every single day.

Looking back there are five tools I used on my phone that really helped me to get to a place of self-acceptance. They are all free and available through your phone. Reprogramming your brain to be more accepting takes time. It is not something that happens overnight. It takes 21 days to create a new neural pathway. Using these tools on your phone that you interact with daily helps to instill that new programming.

One of the tools is a set of free phone screen savers featuring phrases created by Human Design Coach Victoria Jane, Shadow Work Coach Rachael Besser, and Akashic Reader Jessica Briggs. I’ve had one of these screen savers on my phone for the past two weeks and it’s been so helpful!

Another free tool is a somatic feelings meditation I recorded. It is seriously helpful for anyone wants to process an emotion but especially for dismissive avoidants on the attachment spectrum. This meditation helps move feelings through my body.

Listen to the full episode to hear the rest of the tips. And please let me know if you have any tools that you have used on your own personal growth journey. I would love to learn about them.
